Also make sure if you are taking any skymap software (C2A, Sky Chart / Cartes du Ciel, Stellarium) that you have updated your orbital elements! :geek:

We was very fortunate with the weather and my Celestron LCM with the Skywatcher had its first public outing, and seeing Jupiter in Gerald's binoculars was impressive.

I did manage to get some pictures of the evening.

M97 and M42

Otherwise known as the Owl Nebula I was able to image it using the C11 and Atik infinity. This is a magnitude 8 object and needed 30 Second exposure before I could even see anything and even then had to wait for a few images to stack. Am also getting use to placing the image on full screen but nervo...
